Erin participated, against the advice of the public and a fellow council member (an attorney), in a land sale to intentionally block access to an adjacent parcel where the Win River casino wanted to expand. The City was sued and a judge found numerous legal and procedural violations committed by Erin, most of her fellow City Council, and senior City staff.
Erin passed the most recent City budget using "staff" information that was incomplete. Fellow Council member Audette spent countless hours researching the city's budget and shared that information with the Council and the public. Erin flatly disregarded the exhaustive work and stated she trusted the staffs' information.
Erin supported the Measure A tax increase and it is related to her intentional ignorance of the City's actual financial status. Voters in the City handily defeated Measure A. Erin, on several radio shows, has said that most the public is unaware of and does not understand government budgets and processes which led to the defeat of Measure A.
No one know where Erin stands on this. She has said NOTHING publicly. Does she believe that election reform is needed? Is she ready to fight for and support the 10k voters who signed the petition?
