Gallardo for Supervisor District 1 - Announcements

More Brown Act violations by Kevin and Chris

Please see the "media" tab and listen to the FIA show for 5/30/26.

HHSA general fund loan, $10 million !!!

The Board of Sups. gave a $10 million loan to HHSA?  That $ came from the general fund!  If a failed state or federal program can NOT be funded, then adjust that program accordingly and do NOT subsidize it with local funds that should be going to LOCAL needs (cops/fire/roads/etc).  Foster care and adoption costs have "increased"???  Let's take local control of those fees and make them lower!  I've heard of certain "foster" fees paid per child could be up to $7,000 per month?!!  That's ridiculous!

Crye votes to pass Runbeck agreement/contract

At the Board meeting on 5/5/26, Crye and Kelstrom voted to keep Runbeck for ballot printing, even after the "overspray" fiasco last year AND input from citizens asking for a "termination clause" that was absent.  So now, we are stuck with a "fee for service" 5.5 year contract with a corrupted ballot printing service.  Over 1.5 years ago, Crye was presented with ideas to shift to a local (CA) ballot printer and to concurrently apply to become our own ballot printer (as Orange County does).  Both actions were never taken by Crye or his fellow members, a massive failure of local control which is what Crye ran on in 2022.

Local GOP committee issues illegitimate endorsements

After reading the state and local bylaws on endorsements, I've discovered the local endorsement for Kevin (and others) were NOT in compliance with those bylaws and hence are not officially valid.  I confronted the local President, Val, and asked her for any documentation on the "nomination" process she alleged, but she refused to provide it.

Crye's Attempted Bribe/ and Bribes

In 2025, while Kevin and I were speaking about election reform, he offered me a position on a possible Sheriff oversight committee, I believe to get me to back off of my election activities.

Mar. 2026, Crye votes to appoint former D1 candidate Kurt Swanson to Assessment Appeals Board.  Did Kevin offer bribe to Kurt to get him to step down from his D1 run?

Mar. 2026, Authur Gorman is selected to be on a citizen public health committee.  Gorman is a GOP central committee RINO/fake republican.  Did Crye do this, again, for political favors?

Late 2024-early 2025, Crye offers a concerned citizen (J.F.) a position in the ROV office to be his "eyes" when Toller was the ROV, but that offer never materialized.

Crye / Resner refuse to debate!

Neither of them accepted my debate challenge.  If these seasoned politicians are confident of their records, why are they avoiding tough questions asked publicly?  Do they care about being transparent?  Do they care about voters?

Huntington Beach to appeal voter ID to US Supreme Court

Amazing that Huntington Beach is fighting for its citizens and now appealing the the US Supreme Court!

Today, our Board of Supervisors refuse to spend a dime to defend the 10k voters who signed to support Measure B forcing the people to raise money to defend it.  Time for some accountability at the ballot box on June 2.  Crye's "votes" of dissention regarding the current Measure B lawsuit are only damage control as he's NEVER supported the local charter amendment.

Deputy DA Association Interview declined

The association would not allow me to audio record any interview with them.  They said recording would stifle being "candid and open".  I suggested to them that any candidate for public office should also expect to be "public and transparent".   This tells me this association is only wanting to make private room deals with candidates.

Measure B (local election reform)

3/25/26: a WIN! Meaure B will be on the June ballot!  Judge Hannah knew he'd loose in appeal so to save face, he had to allow the Measure.

3/6/26: CA Court of Appeals directed Judge Hannah to rehear the case.  He lifted the TRO but then called for another court date on 3/25/26 where the possibility still exists to keep the Measure off the June ballot.

On 2/26/26: a judge rules that the County shall cease any efforts to put Measure B on the June ballot.  This is directly due to the County Board voting to NOT issue a defense against the lawsuit!  The judge basically "defaulted" to the Plaintiff because none of what she alleged was challenged!! Kevin voted against the other Board members, but he has many previous votes and actions that prove he does NOT want the local Measure to continue.  The will of over 10,000 petition signers was silenced by one anonymous litigant and one corrupt judge.  Listen to a radio interview in the "media" tab.

Board of Sups. vote to NOT oppose or support the lawsuit against Measure B

See recent post under the "media" tab above.  Over 10,000 voters signed the petition and the Board is defying the will of the people!

Crye and Public Meetings

He has constantly and as recently as Feb. 20, 2026, reduced and restricted the public's access and time to address the Board at public meetings.
