My background

I served 21 years in the US military, 6 years active duty, and 15 reserve.  I was a military police officer for most of that but also performed as a combat engineer (operating heavy equipment and explosive demolition).   I was a DOD civilian police officer for one year then I worked for 18 years as a firefighter/EMT with CalFire.  I currently work in the private sector as a commercial driver.  I've been involved in local (county) politics since 2020 when the state forced unlawful mandates on businesses and the people.

Why I am running for Shasta County Board of Supervisor, District 1

I had a meeting with Kevin Crye (also attended by two agreed upon witnesses) with the expressed desire that he convince me why I should not run against him.  After over an hour of conversation, he failed.  While I supported Kevin Crye's initial run for office and helped fight his attempted recall, he's since failed massively on his promise of "local control" and "transparency".  He voted to stop a constitutional citizen petition then failed to offer an apology when he lost.  He voted to spend Zogg fire settlement funds ($500,000) on license plate surveillance cameras that overtly violate our 4th Amendment recognized right against unlawful search and seizure.  He has made public comment and discourse more restrictive at the Board meetings.  On his radio show he admitted to becoming "a politician".

My Ethos

I believe in the rights of the individual in our Constitutional Republic.  We have long ago reversed our system of government in practice to a top-down governance model, when it is supposed to be a bottom-up representative model.  Fiscal responsibility and accountability are critical now as the hyperinflation of the dollar has broken historical markers.  We can NOT force such a debt on our kids and grandkids.

Second Amendment Resolution

I was the principle author of the July 2023 resolution passed by Shasta County to fight against SB2, which greatly restricted conceal carry on many public and private properties.  The resolution allows CCW holders to carry on County owned/leased properties.
